We visited Muir Woods on a Friday, which is one of the last remaining stands of old growth Coast Redwoods in the Bay Area. Super beautiful, and highly recommended. You have to cross the Golden Gate Bridge if you're headed there from the city, so extra bonus points for that. A few additional pictures are on Flickr.
Hey! I was cleaning up old... I mean...OLD bookmarks on my computer... and came across your old inactive blog... and found this! Muir woods is favorite place of mine... SF is great- but old growth forest is greater ;) Hope you are well :)

DeleteMuir Woods was fantastic. I want to hike more of it next time we're in SF, there were some cool sounding trails we didn't do this time around. Such a gorgeous place.
