We went to Volunteer Park Cafe today and then wandered around the park itself -- Volunteer Park Conservatory was awesome, highly recommended! Yet more pictures on Flickr.
This week was insanely busy at work for me. I hope that level of intensity doesn't continue... We are still about 3.5 weeks away from launching my first feature, which will happen around 9pm on a Tuesday. So I suppose that will be a crazy week too.
Our friends JR and Jen gave us a Lego Space Needle as a housewarming gift that we put together today. Check out my Instagram feed at Onion of Infinite Leaf to see more pictures from our day -- we also went to Ballard to pick up an expansion for our favorite board game (Agricola) and wander around a little.
Today we went to Ballard (our favorite Seattle neighborhood that we live right across the canal from) to visit the Sunday Farmer's Market and get lunch. I ended up taking a lot of photos, so here's another post.
Saturday we hiked ~5 miles of bluff and beach on Whidbey Island. It was a gorgeous day and an insanely scenic hike. Fort Casey, a decommissioned naval fort, is also on the island so we wandered around its bunkers and cannon turrets for bit as well. I collected a handful of awesome rocks from the beach -- I've never seen a beach that had such a huge variety of rock types and colors. [more photos]
Saturday we hiked up part of Mount Index to Bridal Veil Falls. It was a gorgeous hike through she forest but the falls at the end were the best part. I'll post some pictures soon -- in the meantime, here are a couple of videos I took with the E-M5 (watch in HD if you can, click the little gear at the bottom to change video quality):
